Current and Recent Community Events

National Guard Family Day

@ Robins Air Force Base

We brought two robots to the event. Our Recycle Rush robot was a question-inspiring display, and our Stronghold robot showed off its quirky strengths and weaknesses as children of the military families drove it over obstacles (aka field pieces) from the last challenge. We’d affectionately named this bot Teeter-Totter, and engineering pitfall laughs were had by all.

Thank you so much to Robins Air Force Base for having us!

Have you heard about the Barnes & Noble Mini Maker Faire?

Their inaugural event was held in the fall of last year, and met with great success. This year’s event was held on November 5th and 6th, and we teamed up with neighboring FIRST Team 4941 RoboBibb to share the joy of STEM and engineering with the greater Macon area!

We displayed our Recycle Rush and Stronghold robots, and introduced children to the basics of coding with the robotic Mouse Maze.

Thank you to Barnes & Noble for having us!

Young Astronauts Day @ the Museum of Aviation

We were very excited to demonstrate our robot at this amazing event. We hope you enjoyed driving the robot and getting a taste of what it’s like to compete in a FIRST Robotics Competition challenge!

Thanks very much to the Museum of Aviation for having us, and for giving us a large enough space to create a mini game field.
